Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewall and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches, documenting post-incident analyses.
- Ensure strict compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) or Threat Intelligence role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Experience with incident response procedures and digital forensics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
