Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities and potential breaches
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response coordination during security events
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and risk assessments
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats using cutting-edge tools
- Provide executive-level security reporting and threat intelligence briefings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with forensic tools (EnCase, FTK) and malware analysis techniques
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents and maintain detailed documentation
