Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect against cyber threats
- Oversee network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and switches
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshoot complex system issues
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell/Bash scripting
- Coordinate disaster recovery planning and system backups
- Document IT processes and maintain system documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in system administration and network management
- Strong expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, MCSA, or Linux+ preferred
- Proficiency with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix)
- Experience with container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Texas driver's license required for occasional client visits
