Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud environments
- Proactively monitor system health and performance using tools like Nagios and Zabbix
- Execute security protocols including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance audits
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Python to streamline administrative tasks
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and lead disaster recovery initiatives
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document system architecture and create comprehensive technical documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server 2016+ and Linux environments
- Expertise in VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure preferred)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Proven track record in implementing backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment
