Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Windows/Linux server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and SolarWinds to prevent outages
- Execute disaster recovery testing and maintain comprehensive backup solutions for critical data
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell scripting
- Implement and audit cybersecurity measures including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Lead infrastructure upgrades including OS migrations and hardware refreshes
- Provide Tier-3 support and mentor junior administrators
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
- CCNA/CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking certification required
- Proven experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipeline implementation experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Ability to manage projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
