Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud infrastructure
- Implement robust security protocols and conduct regular vulnerability assessments
- Oversee backup/recovery systems and disaster recovery planning
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds
- Automate workflows using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible
- Document IT infrastructure and maintain compliance with SOX/GDPR standards
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting for critical systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration
- Expert-level proficiency in Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Strong knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud services and hybrid architectures
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or Linux+ preferred
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V)
- Proficiency in network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
