Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust Linux/Windows server environments in AWS and on-premises
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios and Splunk, resolving incidents within SLAs
- Automate deployment and configuration management with Ansible/Terraform
- Manage enterprise-level storage solutions (NetApp, AWS EBS) and backup/recovery protocols
- Collaborate on cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability patching and compliance (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Document infrastructure changes and create runbooks for operational procedures
- Provide Tier-3 support escalation and mentor junior administrators
Qualifications
- 5+ years in enterprise system administration with Linux/Windows Server expertise
- Advanced certification (CompTIA Linux+, MCSE, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash) and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and security frameworks
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex hybrid environments
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to work flexible hours for critical maintenance windows
