Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows Server, Linux, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and maintain network security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection
- Oversee backup/recovery systems and disaster recovery planning
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios or Zabbix
- Document IT infrastructure and create technical procedures
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex system issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Strong knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or equivalent)
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOX, HIPAA)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
