Responsibilities
- System Administration & Maintenance: Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server environments, including Windows Server and Linux distributions, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols, patch management strategies, and access controls (Active Directory) to safeguard organizational data against cyber threats.
- Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including firewall configurations, routing, and connectivity problems.
- Virtualization & Cloud: Oversee virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and manage cloud resources (AWS/Azure) for scalable infrastructure deployment.
- Backup & Recovery: Design and execute comprehensive backup strategies, ensuring data integrity and rapid recovery in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate routine tasks, improve system performance, and reduce manual overhead.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Administrator in a Windows-centric environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent military or technical certifications are accepted.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, and virtualization technologies.
- Scripting: Strong working knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
- Cloud Knowledge: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
