Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Implement cybersecurity protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery solutions
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible/Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios/Zabbix and resolve incidents within SLAs
- Document infrastructure architecture and maintain compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Provide Tier-3 support and mentor junior administrators
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering enterprise-level Windows/Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization, cloud platforms, and scripting (Python/PowerShell)
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS/Azure, or VMware) preferred
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
