We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our growing IT team in Kansas City, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of our on-premise and cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers (Linux and Windows Server) and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
- Ensure data integrity and implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Monitor system performance and health, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
