Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Manage enterprise-level virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and storage systems
- Proactively monitor system health using Nagios/Zabbix, troubleshoot complex issues, and automate remediation workflows
- Execute robust backup/recovery protocols and disaster recovery testing to ensure 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using Ansible/Terraform
- Document infrastructure blueprints and maintain compliance with SOC2/ISO27001 standards
- Mentor junior administrators and conduct quarterly security vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise-level system administration in hybrid environments
- Expert proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), Windows Server, and virtualization technologies
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
- Cloud platform certifications (AWS/Azure) and experience with IaaS/PaaS services
- Proven track record in designing high-availability architectures and disaster recovery solutions
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls) and security best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical certifications (CompTIA, SUSE, etc.)
