Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk; troubleshoot issues proactively
- Implement and enforce security protocols including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
- Manage virtual environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Automate deployment and maintenance tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
- Document system configurations and create disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field + 5+ years of system administration experience
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or Microsoft Azure Administrator preferred
- Experience with cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure models
- Proven track record in implementing security best practices (NIST, CIS)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
