Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance
- Optimize system performance through proactive monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restorations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network architecture and automation projects
- Document IT procedures and provide technical guidance to junior staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy management
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
- Industry certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or Microsoft Azure preferred)
- Proven experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and ticketing systems
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
