Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure platforms
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN infrastructure for 500+ endpoints
- Execute cybersecurity protocols including patch management, firewall configuration, and vulnerability assessments
- Automate workflows using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible to enhance operational efficiency
- Lead disaster recovery testing and incident response for critical business systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization and container orchestration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years in system administration)
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022 and RHEL/CentOS administration
- Advanced knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
- Industry certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or MCSE) preferred
- Proven experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
