Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Lead network security initiatives including firewalls, VPNs, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell/Python scripting
- Monitor system performance with Nagios/Zabbix and proactively resolve bottlenecks
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise backup solutions (Veeam)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document infrastructure changes and create runbooks for operational procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years in system administration)
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019+ and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) environments
- Advanced cloud skills: AWS/Azure infrastructure, S3, EC2, Azure AD, and network security groups
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Strong scripting abilities (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
- Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with root-cause analysis methodologies
