Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments (Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V)
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols including firewalls and intrusion detection
- Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and hybrid networking solutions
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and lead incident response for critical outages
- Automate deployment and monitoring using Ansible/PowerShell scripting
- Document system architecture and compliance procedures (SOX, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT strategy and capacity planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expert proficiency in Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or Linux+ preferred
- Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere) and containerization (Docker)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues under pressure
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
