Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Implement and enforce robust security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
- Design and execute automated backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, network outages, and application errors to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical guides for the team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Deep knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Active Directory.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or Azure/AWS certifications are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with non-technical stakeholders.
