Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of microservices using Java/Spring Boot and cloud-native patterns
- Architect AWS-based solutions with Kubernetes, Lambda, and DynamoDB
- Mentor 3+ junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Terraform for 15+ deploys/month
- Drive API security initiatives including OAuth2 and JWT implementation
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Champion DevOps practices including infrastructure-as-code and monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building production-grade Java applications
- Expert knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and container orchestration
- Proven track record of mentoring engineers and improving team velocity
- Strong background in RESTful API design and security best practices
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with fintech or high-transaction systems preferred
