Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) 24/7.
- Execute overnight code deployments, database migrations, and patch management with zero downtime.
- Respond to and resolve critical incidents during off-peak hours.
- Conduct code reviews and architectural planning for the morning shift team.
- Automate manual processes to improve night-shift efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 on-call rotation team for seamless handovers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a high-availability environment.
- Strong proficiency in a modern language (Python, Go, Java, or C#).
- Deep experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a night shift schedule.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
