Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize low-latency software systems for the execution of equity options orders.
- Maintain and improve the stability and throughput of the firm’s high-frequency trading engines.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to translate complex mathematical models into robust production code.
- Monitor system performance during high-volume market hours and implement proactive failover strategies.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices for concurrency and memory management.
- Debug complex edge-case scenarios in real-time market data feeds.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in the financial services or fintech sector.
- Strong proficiency in Java or C++ with a deep understanding of multithreading and memory management.
- Experience with equity options market data feeds (CME, ICE, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and distributed systems.
- Ability to work independently during the Night Shift while maintaining strict communication with the day team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
