Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of production issues during night hours
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement feature enhancements
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on the night shift
- Document technical specifications and maintain system architecture diagrams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in software development with emphasis on backend technologies
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or C# with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during off-hours
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration
