Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy robust microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS
- Optimize database performance and implement CI/CD pipelines
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers during weekend rotations
- Resolve production issues with real-time monitoring tools (Datadog, New Relic)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on agile timelines
- Document technical specifications and maintain system architecture diagrams
- Participate in on-call rotation for weekend system support
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and serverless architecture
- Experience with RESTful APIs, message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka), and SQL/NoSQL databases
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during off-peak hours
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Previous weekend shift experience preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
