Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ultra-low latency trading systems using C++ and Rust.
- Optimize database schemas and query performance for real-time order book management.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to translate complex equity option strategies into executable code.
- Implement robust network protocols and socket programming to ensure minimal latency and maximum throughput.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions for system scalability.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex issues in high-pressure environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on low-latency systems or high-frequency trading.
- Strong proficiency in C++ (modern standards) and experience with Python for scripting.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, UDP, and socket programming.
- Familiarity with financial markets, specifically equity options and derivatives trading.
- Experience with distributed systems, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
