Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to sophisticated cyber threats
- Lead incident response investigations, including forensic analysis, containment, and recovery of security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise environments
- Develop and implement security monitoring dashboards to visualize threat intelligence and risk posture
- Collaborate with engineering teams to harden systems against emerging attack vectors
- Document security incidents and prepare executive-level threat briefings for leadership
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations or incident response
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight), IDS/IPS (Suricata, Snort), and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII)
- Certifications required: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC (e.g., GCFA, GCIH)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure security services) and containerized environments
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats in high-pressure scenarios
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
