Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design and implement high-frequency trading systems and scalable microservices for equity options trading.
- Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and optimize code to ensure sub-millisecond latency in critical trading paths.
- Data Pipeline: Build and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines for real-time market data and order book updates.
- Collaboration: Partner with quants and quantitative researchers to translate complex mathematical models into production-ready code.
- Resilience: Implement fault-tolerant systems and disaster recovery protocols to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Testing: Develop comprehensive unit, integration, and load testing strategies to validate system integrity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on low-latency systems or financial software.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C++, Java, or Rust; experience with Python for scripting and data analysis.
- Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, sockets, UDP, and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ZeroMQ).
- Financial Knowledge: Familiarity with equity options, derivatives, and market microstructure concepts is highly preferred.
- Tools: Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
