Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed forensic investigation logs
- Implement and maintain firewall configurations and access control policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security vulnerabilities
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
- Prepare security audit reports and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite)
- Strong knowledge of NIST and CIS security frameworks
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and endpoint protection
- Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
