Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Document security incidents and prepare comprehensive incident response reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend defensive strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
