Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize advanced prompt strategies for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and custom models
- Collaborate with product teams to develop AI-powered features that deliver exceptional user experiences
- Create and maintain prompt libraries, documentation, and best practices for engineering teams
- Conduct A/B testing of prompt variations to maximize output quality and efficiency
- Develop frameworks for evaluating AI-generated content for accuracy, safety, and alignment
- Partner with data scientists to fine-tune models using prompt engineering techniques
- Stay current with emerging AI tools and methodologies to maintain competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Linguistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering, NLP, or applied AI development
- Proven expertise with LLMs including OpenAI API, Anthropic, and Hugging Face models
- Strong understanding of prompt design patterns (few-shot, chain-of-thought, etc.)
- Experience with Python and AI frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers)
- Exceptional written communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt engineering projects with measurable results
