Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize prompts for large language models to achieve specific business objectives
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis of prompt variations to maximize output quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate prompt engineering solutions into production systems
- Document prompt architectures and create best practice guidelines for engineering teams
- Stay current with emerging AI research and prompt engineering methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct prompt engineering workshops
- Develop evaluation frameworks to measure prompt effectiveness and model performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering or NLP model development
- Proven expertise with GPT-4, Claude, or similar large language models
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex AI outputs
- Experience with prompt optimization techniques like chain-of-thought and few-shot learning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt engineering projects and their impact
