Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize advanced prompt strategies for large language models (LLMs) and generative AI systems
- Develop comprehensive prompt libraries and documentation frameworks for enterprise AI applications
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis of prompt variations to maximize model accuracy
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate prompt engineering solutions into customer-facing AI products
- Research emerging AI techniques and adapt prompt methodologies to new model architectures
- Train and mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering best practices and ethical AI implementation
- Monitor industry trends and contribute to the advancement of prompt engineering standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Linguistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering or applied AI/NLP roles
- Proven track record of optimizing prompts for GPT-4, Claude, or similar LLMs
- Expertise in Python and prompt engineering frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Hugging Face)
- Strong understanding of transformer architectures and language model limitations
- Exceptional written communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts
- Experience with remote collaboration tools and asynchronous workflows
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt engineering projects
