Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and optimize advanced prompt architectures for production-scale LLM applications
- Develop and maintain comprehensive prompt libraries with version control and performance metrics
- Collaborate with ML engineers to fine-tune model behaviors through iterative prompt refinement
- Conduct A/B testing on prompt variations to maximize response accuracy and user engagement
- Create technical documentation and best practices for prompt engineering across teams
- Lead prompt optimization initiatives for high-stakes domains like medical diagnostics
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering methodologies and ethical AI practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on prompt engineering experience with production LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, etc.)
- Expertise in Python with experience in AI/ML frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.)
- Proven track record of optimizing prompts for complex tasks in enterprise environments
- Deep understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret model behavior through prompt variations
- Experience with prompt security mitigation and adversarial testing techniques
