Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize prompt strategies for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4 and Claude
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective AI interactions
- Conduct prompt engineering experiments and document best practices for AI response optimization
- Implement and maintain prompt libraries with version control and performance tracking
- Analyze AI output quality and iteratively refine prompts for accuracy, relevance, and safety
- Develop evaluation frameworks to measure prompt effectiveness across different use cases
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering methodologies and ethical AI practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering, NLP, or AI model interaction design
- Expertise with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and prompt optimization frameworks
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Proven track record of designing complex prompt systems for production environments
