Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test advanced prompt architectures for large language models (LLMs)
- Optimize prompt sequences to enhance model performance, reduce token costs, and improve response accuracy
- Create documentation frameworks for prompt engineering best practices and version control systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate prompt solutions into production AI systems
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis of prompt variations using quantitative metrics
- Develop red-teaming strategies to identify and mitigate prompt injection vulnerabilities
- Train and mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering or AI interaction design
- Proficiency with LLM frameworks including OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude, and Hugging Face
- Strong understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Experience with prompt optimization techniques (Chain-of-Thought, ReAct, etc.)
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical prompt specifications
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in quantitative performance evaluation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
