Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and manage enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network traffic and security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities and resolve incidents swiftly.
- Provide advanced technical support, mentoring, and guidance to junior IT staff and end-users.
- Conduct regular network audits, performance tuning, and preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for hardware upgrades and site installations.
- Document all network changes, configurations, and technical procedures accurately.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in network administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and STP.
- Experience with network security protocols (e.g., IPsec, SSL VPN) and access control lists.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote client sites.
