Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and PRTG tools
- Implement security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Document network topologies and create SOPs for operational procedures
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premise infrastructure
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex network outages and performance issues
- Lead network upgrade projects including hardware refreshes and capacity planning
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Cisco CCNP or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency with TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configuration
- Experience with VMware ESXi and Hyper-V virtualization
- Strong knowledge of SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, Meraki)
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN design in healthcare or education sectors
- Excellent written communication skills for client documentation
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional on-site visits
