Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless systems
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for complex network issues using tools like Wireshark and SolarWinds
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to harden network defenses and ensure compliance with NIST standards
- Lead network upgrade projects including hardware refreshes and technology migrations
- Document network configurations, topology maps, and standard operating procedures
- Mentor junior technicians and provide on-call support during critical incidents
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista network equipment
- CCNP or equivalent certification required; CCIE strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN architectures
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, VMware SD-WAN)
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Python) for network management
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to resolve Tier-3 escalations
- Valid Hawaii driver's license for occasional on-site visits
