We are looking for a visionary Senior Information Security Engineer based in Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools and threat intelligence feeds to prevent data breaches.
- Security Architecture: Design and deploy secure network architectures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Compliance Management: Oversee audits and ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 standards.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments to identify and remediate security gaps proactively.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the security posture of the entire organization.
- Incident Investigation: Lead the technical investigation and forensics analysis of security breaches and cyber-attacks.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation; deep knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing/switching.
- Tools: Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), EDR solutions, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must reside within or be willing to relocate to the Jacksonville, FL area.
