Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum computing, neural interfaces, and autonomous systems
- Lead ideation sessions with C-suite executives to identify disruptive opportunities in their industries
- Conduct horizon scanning research to identify breakthrough technologies with commercial potential
- Present futuristic scenarios to stakeholders through immersive simulations and interactive workshops
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype minimum viable futures for client engagements
- Author whitepapers on societal impacts of technological convergence (AI + Biotech + Robotics)
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, consulting, or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Proven track record of forecasting market trends with documented accuracy
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related technical field
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Shell's Two Uncertainties)
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or major industry conferences
- Portfolio demonstrating successful technology commercialization strategies
