As a critical member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, generating real-time insights, and supporting high-stakes decision-making processes during our off-hours. Responsibilities
- Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL): Manage and clean large datasets using SQL and Python to ensure data integrity for nightly reporting.
- Dashboard Development: Create and maintain interactive visualizations in Tableau or Power BI to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) overnight.
- Anomaly Detection: Monitor incoming data streams for errors or outliers and troubleshoot issues before the morning business review.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive daily and weekly analytical reports for senior leadership, highlighting trends and opportunities.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current data workflows and propose automated solutions to increase efficiency.
- Collaboration: Partner with the day-shift team to ensure seamless handovers of data projects and documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the night shift or 24/7 operations environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), Python (Pandas/NumPy), and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability: Must be willing to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and weekends as required.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data validation and quality control.
