Responsibilities
- Lead the weekend security operations center, monitoring for threats and responding to incidents 24/7.
- Analyze SIEM logs and threat intelligence feeds to identify and mitigate potential breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems during off-peak hours.
- Coordinate with the on-call incident response team to execute containment and remediation strategies.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and resolutions in the security knowledge base.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or information security analysis.
- Active certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Proven experience working in a 24/7 operational environment or handling weekend shifts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
