Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enterprise-grade security solutions including firewalls, SIEM, and encryption protocols
- Lead incident response for security breaches with 24/7 on-call rotation
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-premise infrastructure
- Develop security automation scripts using Python/Ansible for threat detection
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on incident response experience
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH (required); GSEC preferred
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security, network protocols, and threat intelligence
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and infrastructure-as-code
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (sponsorship provided)
