Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security architectures for cloud and on-premise environments
- Lead incident response and threat hunting initiatives using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for critical systems
- Develop and maintain security automation tools using Python and Ansible
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to security awareness programs
- Stay current with emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements (NIST, GDPR)
Qualifications
- 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with 3+ years in engineering roles
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or OSCP required
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, zero-trust)
- Proficiency in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container technologies
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex security projects from design to implementation
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate technical risks to stakeholders
