Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enterprise-grade security frameworks across cloud/on-premise environments
- Lead incident response for complex cyberattacks, including APTs and ransomware
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools
- Develop security automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and Terraform
- Mentor junior engineers and drive security awareness initiatives
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Stay ahead of emerging threats through continuous threat intelligence research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on experience in threat detection and response
- Expert-level knowledge of NIST frameworks, CIS benchmarks, and MITRE ATT&CK
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or OSCP required; GSEC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate complex threats to technical/non-technical audiences
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
