Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across the network perimeter and internal systems to detect potential breaches or intrusions.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify weaknesses and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Lead the incident response process for security incidents, including triage, containment, eradication, and post-incident recovery.
- Configure, manage, and tune Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and firewall rules to enhance threat detection capabilities.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT operations and software development teams to integrate security measures into the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications are highly desired: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and common operating systems (Windows and Linux).
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
