Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and traffic data 24/7 during weekend shifts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct real-time incident response and forensic analysis for security breaches or anomalies.
- Execute and manage vulnerability assessments and penetration testing strategies.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 Operations Center to escalate and resolve high-severity security incidents.
- Maintain and update threat intelligence reports and playbooks for off-hour scenarios.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards across the organization’s infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC analysis.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during off-hours with minimal supervision.
