Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events 24/7 during weekend shifts to detect and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and implement containment strategies to minimize operational impact.
- Perform routine vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure to proactively identify weaknesses.
- Manage and maintain SIEM systems, ensuring logs are collected, analyzed, and stored according to compliance standards.
- Collaborate with the SOC team during transition periods to ensure seamless handover of active investigations.
- Document incident reports, security findings, and recommendations for process improvement.
- Respond to and assist with security breaches, phishing attempts, and ransomware incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or GCIH is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure during weekend shifts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings.
