As part of our weekend operations team, you will play a critical role in protecting our infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. You will work a structured Friday to Sunday schedule, ensuring our clients receive uninterrupted security coverage. This is a high-impact role requiring expertise in incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM systems (Splunk, Sentinel, or ArcSight) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and provide detailed post-incident reports and remediation plans.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and execute patches on weekend windows to minimize business disruption.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST) across the organization.
- Collaborate with the on-call team during escalated security incidents to ensure rapid resolution.
- Conduct security awareness training sessions for staff regarding weekend access protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC environment, specifically in a Weekend Shift capacity.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency with SIEM tools and log analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting complex security events.
