Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for anomalies and threats during weekend hours.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend schedules.
- Analyze security logs and threat intelligence to identify potential risks before they escalate.
- Collaborate with the New York SOC team to ensure 24/7 coverage and unified defense strategies.
- Document incident reports and security postures for executive review.
Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or security operations.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
- Proven ability to work rotating weekend shifts and night hours.
- Demonstrated experience working successfully in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
