Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and remediate risks.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls aligned with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Lead incident response efforts and coordinate with legal, executive, and IT teams during security breaches.
- Perform regular security audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
- Provide security training and awareness programs to employees across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for security automation and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
